My senior year of high school [i graduated in may n_n] i took a class called AP art.

If you don't know what that is it's a year long class devoted to making a 24 piece portfolio that you submit to a national judging at the end of the year. 12 of the 24 pieces have to be about the same thing [your concentration] and mine was of course body modification.

Needless to say i got the middle finger from all of my teachers and the school [and our congressman Emanuel Cleaver who rejected five of my pieces from his yearly art competition. Douche bag...] because of my "gruesome" content.

My school put their noses up and refused to acknowledge that i had, in fact, completed more pieces and mastered more mediums than any other student in the school. At the art awards i received nothing and left crying.


Well, i just got my AP score back. [for the entire years worth of work you get a 1-5 score. That's it. 5 is the best while 1 is, obviously, the worst.]

No one at my high school has ever gotten a 5 and only two people have received 4... until now.



FUCK YES I SCORED A FIVE ON MY AP PORTFOLIO.

Take that douchey high school! I just set a new record!


Also, i recently received the most prestigious award at the GCB [George Caleb Bingham] Academy of the Arts.

That's a program in Independence, MO where 25 students [total] are chosen from 30+ schools for a five week intensive art class.




FUCK YEAH.
